This tall, handsome boy has the pedigree, conformation and movement to excel in dressage, jumping, and eventing. He is a minimally marked bay tobiano - a very unusual pattern for a homozygous horse. He is the image of his sire, 1998 APHA World Champion Jumper, The Spotlight. Leo has perfect legs, a beautiful sloping shoulder and a strong, short back. He is a bold, graceful mover, forward-going, with a spring in his step. He has a bright, lovely personality, combined with a curious, unflappable nature. Like all of our horses, he is registered with the APHA, as well as the American Warmblood Society (AWS).

Though he appears to be a tobiano, this handsome horse likely also carries a sabino gene: a small percentage of his offspring out of solid mares have been toveros. This gorgeous stallion goes back to Painted Joe, one of the most influential foundation Paint Horses. But The Spotlight has built a legacy of his own. He became an APHA World Champion Jumper in 1998. He is also an American Warmblood Society Supreme Rated Stallion, with an impressive score of 85.3% (and a very rare 9.5 rating on his temperament). In July 2005, it was announced that Leo's 2003 tobiano half-brother, RFF Slew of Lights, has recently won an impressive 8th place as a 2yr old in Hunter Under Saddle at the highly-competitive 2005 World Paint Show.
